Yep, the same with feral hogs. Domesticated animals turned out to the wild. Feral cats are GREAT to have around a ranch/farm. They keep the mouse/rat population to "0". But ya better not try to pet 'em or you'll think you've got a Bobcat by the tail.

By-the-By, bobcats do make good pets.

Elmer, a feral cat is a domestic cat abandoned by city slickers, who, when they see a barn, drop off their unwanted tabby cuz "the farmers will look after them, they need barn cats". This abuse ranks right up there with Mike Vick. A house cat will go wild, or "feral" to stay alive, and they are good at it. They wreak havoc on songbirds, not to mention cottontails. It's better for the cats to be put them down as they are a huge problem in many states. It's not a popular choice, but when these cats are seen miles away from any human dwelling, they are considered feral, and disposed of.It's too bad, but inconsiderate owners, again, are the problem.

Those dont look like bobcats to me, but who knows its hard to tell at such a young age. Post more pics in about 6 months, that should be enough time for the ears to start getting really pointy.

I couldn't figure out what to do with them So I made a post "What to do with baby bobcats" But they got lose haven't seen them since. They were half bobcat & half wild house cat (feral cat). I've been trying to catch them again but I keep catching the Feral cat whitch I belive is there mother. The only other cat on the place is a big male bobcat ( the dad I belive).
I've been trying to kill him for the last three years but I've never had a clear shot.

Ok story time, Our house is on sixty acres 40 wooded and 20 pasture it sets on the south side about midway of the sixty about a hundred yards off the NE corner of the house is a half acre pond in the edge of the feild.
One week before the 2004 deer season at around 4p.m. I'm setting on the dam part of the pond bank ( whitch has weeds about 1 foot high and a few 20' tall trees ) and I'm watching a deer feed out in the feild, I've got a pair of binocs and a Ruger P90 and i'm setting on one of the little sissor style hunting stools, and I weigh about 290 lbs. Anyways I'm watching this deer waiting on somemore to come out and I hear some noise behind me, I turn around don't see anything, so I turn back around and I feel something brush past between my legs, startaled, I see a rabbitt running staight away from me, and I thought "that was weird", the next thing I know I'm flat on my back, so I jumped to my feet, gun draw'en just in time to see this big a$$ bobcat getting untangaled from the stool I was setting on. aparently he was about 2 seconds behind that rabbitt at full speed and when he went thru the stool he got hung on the carrying strap and jurked that stool right out from under my Fat A$$. I took a couple of quick shots at him but missed, I can't help it I'm still kinda Pi$$ at that cat and I've seen him about a dozen times since and can't get a good shot at him.

The little cats would of ended up out side anyways, but if it was me I would try to trap them again and have them fixed. I think it would be cool to have a couple of them running around.

I have to agree that they do not look like full-blooded bobcats, The ears do look too small and the facial markings don't seem quite right. Could potentially be pixiebobs or something.

Here's a comparison image. The pixiebob is on the left.

I'd say there is a good chance these are pixiebobs. You might want to send the pics to a breeder and have them judge.

Here's a site with more pics: Alsoomse Pixie-Bobs

How are they socializing?

At one time I owned a Manx cat. They come in all colors, one variation looks like the ones in your photo. That was what mine looked like. They have no tail or very little tail. They resemble a small bobcat.

I have to agree with Coeloptera. These little beasties look like they might be hybridized... especially the kitten in the foreground on that first picture.

I've not dealt much with feline hybrids, but I have dealt with canine hybrids (with varying degrees of wolf in the pedigree) and from what I have seen you are dealing with a mixed bag and you will get animals that physically take more after one or the other ancestor, even in the same litter.
