Smile I am getting a new Savage .22-250

Hey guys, I hear ya, I am not going to hunt any coyotes with a .22 magnum or .17 HMR. But what I was looking at buying in the near future is a Savage stevens model 200 bolt action in .22-250. I have heard that the 2 best coyote loads are the .223 and the .22-250. I understand that any rimfire is way underpowered. Plus the ammo isnt that much more expensive than the magnum rimfires ammo. And the Savage .22-250 only costs 279.89! Thats pretty cheap for a .22-250. So guys how does the .22-250 sound for those varmints. Thanks,nc.hunter.

nc, I have a 204 Ruger and it's starting to do some pretty impressive stuff at the range. I plan on trying it on coyotes soon, you might want to give it some thought.

22-250 should be perfect. How do you like that stevens (if you have actually held it, admired it inperson). My bro in law is about ot buy a 22-250 and wants the stevens but is afraid to order it because he has never seen on in person....

That sounds like a good gun. I am glad you decided to give up rimfires for yotees.

Plenty of stuff will drop with the 22-250. I use this cal here for anything from rabbits and crows, out to goats and pigs. I must admit, it makes a great allround gun. You wont be dissapointed. Shoot some 55gr ballistic tips with it, im sure coyotes will be in real trouble.
