Nice catch, do you tree them or just stalk him out? I have always wanted to chase down some of these badboys, but the only ones I have caught were with live traps. No offense intended, but is that a normal sized Raccoon for your area? I guess I am used to the very well fed and half domesticated ones around here. They use the city drainage pipes as highways. Damned things look like they weigh 50-60 lbs, and they aren't afraid to ask you for a cigarette or spare change either - I would be wary to use a .22 on them!

ah well i've seen bigger but not around my house. i'd put him at about 20-25lbs.
I hot this one just across the road from my house, i spotlighted him on the ground with 2 others but when i went to grab my gun he got up in a tree.
