| Super Moderator ![]() | Mansions of the Lord I've been trying to determine the source of this song, whether it is original to the movie "We Were Soldiers" or if it has a historical source. Anyone recognize it? Mansions of the Lord: To fallen soldiers let us sing Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing Our broken brothers let us bring To the Mansions of the Lord No more bleeding, no more fight No prayers pleading through the night Just divine embrace, eternal light In the Mansions of the Lord Where no mothers cry and no children weep We will stand and guard though the angels sleep While through the ages safely keep The Mansions of the Lord http://mitglied.lycos.de/aov/USMC%20...The%20Lord.mp3

| The hymn is original. I heard Randall Wallace on on the Laura Ingrahm Show last week. He claimed that he and the film's composer sat down and wrote it in 15 minutes. |
