1971: inlisted into United States Coast Guard as A&P Mechanic, (lack of collage prevented me from flying.)
1972: Recuited by (classified) as military advisor to (classified) for the war in (classified) where I flew OH58 (JetRanger) until I got shot down by (classified) while conducting (classified) operations over (classified) territory.
1500 Feet AGL: Quit working for Air America, and advising Special Air Service in Rhodesia how to fly underpowered piece of $h!t over frigging hostile outback.

Thanks ALR, the reason I ask was because my Dad who was career Air Force, was assigned to the 460th TRW 69'-70'. Listening to him talk after he got back I believe one of the Squadrons or Detachments in the Wing was a EC-47 unit.

Dallas, Just looked it up in my records. It was the 377 OMS. Probably missed your dad,I was there in 72. Thanks anyway.

I wasn't married at the time and my steady girl was a waitress in the NCO Club. Her waitress number was 33, so every time I asked for her they brought me a beer. Translated, 33 was the Vietnamese brand of beer,Bomity Bom.
I couldn't find a girlfriend in the Philipines named San Miguel.
(I still have my original EC-47 DZUS tool!!!)
