Best Invention Since The Handgun For LE!!

Had TASER cert yesterday and I am here to say that it is the most awesome non-lethal weapon to exist! Had to "ride the lightning" for the full 5 second burst and MY GOD!!!! Talk about ruining a good mood!! Cannot believe how long 5 seconds could be, either! Afterwards, I thought maybe I would've prefered to of have been shot with my Glock instead.

Anyone here have experience with them, also? Our department only requires being tased once and taking a written test every year afterwards to stay certified (thank God for that!). Instructors on the X26 have to be tased once a year and they are one tough bunch of souls for doing it.

1*, I am getting a DVD of my ecnounter and will post it here for a good laugh for everyone. When you guys get your TASERS, I wish you the best of luck getting your cert, buddy. Hope McMantis sees the light and helps you guys out down there, too.

All I am going to say to the people I tase is

There was an incedent recently at a bar where a guy got zapped and didn't phase him. I imagine drugs and or alcohol were involved.

We have a consumer grade 100,000 volt unit. We have never had to use it, and I don't want to play with it to find out how well it works. But I did come up with an idea. Here, puppy, puppy.......

Moss, I'd say something was going on there. I would say if I had to, I could've fought my way through it, but it would've been tough. There's a small percentage who can fight through it, but I'm still thinking it's great.
Troy, I wouldn't, either. TASER has built-in a 50,000 volt stun gun on their models and it definitely gets your attention!

Once at a gunshow I was inspecting a shock baton and wound up zapping my hand.

ever since then I've been unable to play the piano with both hands. I also have a deep love and respect for electric weaponry, and will buy a shock baton like the one I shocked myself with. just because.
