Excellent idea... especially for us veterans that have similar effects.

Again A.H. ... read the thread title "Veterans of Military/Law Enforcement"

Is it so wrong to pass along information that other Veterans may benefit from?

Good God ...

Good but perhaps another approach might work

Given the experiences of others, might it be possible to develop psychologically themed pre-deployment sessions for the couple to take both individually and as a couple?

Might it be possible to have web conferences between the soldier, the marriage partner, and a trained counsellor during the deployment to discuss ongoing experiences and their effects?

My basis premise is to move toward proactive effort in an effort to avoid or at least minimize stress later on. Perhaps I am grasping for too much?
It is just that I am very saddened by the almost non-reported toll on the lives of those involved. A toll that, like Vietnam, will affect many lives
for many decades. All wounds are not physical.

CONGRATULATIONS AND RESPECT TO LARRYO1970 FOR BRINGING THIS ISSUE TO THE FORUM.

If anyone comes across anything that may be of help to any of our veterans or their families please post it so we can pass it on. Our veterans, past and present, are why we still have this great Country to enjoy. We owe them bigtime.
