| Member | New C&P Did a new C&P yesterday to see if I could get my % increased. The last time I dealt with the VA it wasnt a real pleasent experiance but after 17 years They look as if they are doing much better job as far as the health care goes. But thats just here in Tulsa I cant speak for the whole country So if you are just sitting around and wondering if your disability % might be increased go in and check it out and chek out the new vet forums also. I found out you may get up to 50% for apnea also. Dont languish on the ifs ands or buts check it out... |

| Senior Member | That's good advice for damaged vets, Paul. They won't look you up, and figure if you don't pursue it, you don't want it. My experience was a little different, because I was medically discharged. The first time they raised my disability, I was amazed. Then, as my arm got worse, and the VA had to cut on it, again and again, the rating kept on climbing. They finally told me that I couldn't work anymore, and granted me 100%. That's how it goes if you have a service-connected disability, and it's documented, but if it's not well documented, you have to pursue it.

| I retired from the Army and had my injuries documented when I left. I also had a civilian Doc verify my injuries and do head to toe xrays. Fortunately, I've had little to no problems thus far. Knock on my wooden head! LOL!

| Senior Member | I didn't have to worry too much about documentation. They sent me to the Naval Hospital in San Francisco for my discharge physical, because of the injuries, and documented everything for me there! I never had any real problems with the VA, except for the early days. They had a lot of foreigners in the clinics, and with my hearing tore up, I couldn't understand a thing they were saying. I finally blew up on 'em, and told 'em to send me to someone who spoke english. When they found out I was service-connected, they got pretty darned nice, and I had no more trouble.
