You know you've been a cop too long if:

1. You remember pulling a cartridge with lead exposed on the bullet out of your loops to write on a piece of paper cause you left your pen in the cruiser.

Pen and paper? What are those? Now we have on board computers and don't have to write down call comments. We can work the call and go back to our car and write the report without any Whiteout!

Well I'll be damned... I didn't realize lead was soft enough to write on paper with, but, as I've just tested, it sure is.

Cruiser?

Does that have four shod hooves, & a tail?
More like a horse trot.

It had hood pins, like on a race car. When I first saw it I thought "man that sucker must be fast!" Turns out they just couldn't keep the hoods shut.

I can't count how many range targets I've scored using a .22 LR round as a pencil.

Must be hundreds . . .
