May have missed it, but noticed no one representing the 9th Infantry Divison in Vietnam. Served with 2/47th Mech. Inf. Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 9th Divison and worked in Bn S-2 (security&intelligence) section. Held same position at Benning and Schofield barracks.
U.S. Army 1968-1970: Ft. Polk, Ft. Dix, Ft. Benning, Binh Phouc Vietnam, Schofield Barracks.
RNL, shame your Spooky photo was not in color. Awesome sight, a C-47 Spooky unleashing streams of mini-gun tracer rounds at ground targets during the night. Viewed Spooky in action a number of times while in Nam.

Are you saying Puff the Magic Dragon is at work? Is it a time lapse photo? I thought they were contrails and you had captured a couple of low flying B-52's.

huffmanite, I do have one in color. I'll have to find it. It is somewhere in my slide files. And Dallas, it is a time-lapse photo. I didn't have a tripod with me but I was able to brace the camera on a concrete flag pole base at the Special Forces base camp where I was tdy.

| I found the color slide of Spooky I have. While it is fairly dramatic, it doesn't have the same impact as the B&W version, at least for me. The color is too monochromatic because of the darkness as well as other factors, not to get too technical.
