Thumbs up Coasties

"Semper Paratus!" Willy. I was glad to find another Coastie on these pages. Also thx to the member who wrote the praise for the cutter crew he worked with. I also would not trade a million bucks for my time in service. While I did not serve in combat, my respect and pride go with those that did. My dad was a vet, my brother is, four of my cousins and my nephew all are. God Bless The USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cpl. , USMC, 1985-1993 journeyman electrician. How come nobody in the army or navy was ever a cook or paper pogue? They are always special forces or some jet jockey .

Talking Other jobs in the military

Hey Teufelhunden! I was a sparky too! 3rd Class Electricians Mate, but was trained on the other stuff after I was trained as a sparky. It has provided a good living for my family so I am always thankful to the USCG for that.:cheer:

My hat is off to all you guys and gals who served or are serving!!

My short military resume: U.S. Navy, 1968-1971, E-5. COMINT, Russian Linguist. Last duty station was Kamiseya, Japan, spent lots of time at sea on TAD.

Had some fun ... and took some guff. All in all, a real character-building experience.
