Recoil Springs for Alloy Frame P1s

I recall reading in a previous thread (which I can't find for the life of me) would benefit from a stiffer recoil spring. The idea was that it would prevent the frame from cracking as they sometimes do.

Can anyone point me to where the right springs are?

Also, the wife's P1 has a problem with ejecting into the face of the shooter. I wondered if the stiffer springs would help or if there's another solution out there.
