| re-enforcing pin Greetings Just purchased a P-38. It's production date is 4/63. It does not have or (I can't find) the steel re-enforcing pin that is suppose to keep frame from cracking due to metal fatague. Thought by 1963 all P38s and P1s had the fix. Did Walther do some other kind of fix besides the pin solution? Do I need a gunsmith put a pin in? How much of a problem and how widespread was it? Will the gun blow up in my face? Please help if you can. ty hahn |
