Walther P-22 Howdy, I got a P-22, with the.22 barrel and .17 barrel. Haven't tried the smaller barrel yet. John Krzos

| I got an email from the guy, John Blaster. He has not developed a spring or slide weight that matches the ammo very well yet. Cool idea, might add some real sting to a P22. I also wonder if the barrel is long enough to get enough speed (and spin) on the bullet to stabilize it.

I am the guy you are talking about. I do have springs for the barrels for sale now.You can still shoot 22 with the stronger spring.I shoot only Hornady because it works well in the gun. Other brands are not recommended at this time. Take a look on www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=101707829

The only ammo this Blaster barrel will even half way shoot is CCI. Think John Blaster ought to pony up one of these recoil springs. I bought a barrel from him last month, still will not function properly with any .17M2 ammo.

I ordered 3 barrels. One for me and 2 for my friends with P22's. I shot with the Hornady, and it will do about 3 rounds before FTF's but it still needs the stronger recoil springs. The slide comes back too quickly, and puts the non ejected round back into the chamber. (I think John got screwed my the spring maker somehow.) I asked for a refund for the springs we prepurchased, (never recieved) so I can get a local gunsmith do so some for me. If I can get some good working springs together, I will refer you guys to the spring maker around here in tampa. And get some specs together.

Thanks, drewbroo would love to have some specks or get a spring. I have been experimenting with different springs from WW GRAINGER that are 12" cut to length getting really close to finding the right combination started with 9.5 coil per inch with about two coils being longer than the recoil rod. I am getting the same 3 to 4 rounds then FTE'S START. If only 3 or for round are loaded in the mag they seem to work but have not been able to go through a full mad yet! I am going to try 7 coil per inch spring. You get a pack of 3 12" cut to length springs for about $4. I think it is acceviable going to keep experimenting.

Walther P22 with Federal bulk pack ammo, my Walther has always been picky on ammo! Bulk ammo would never work in it went to my gun club yesterday, honest truth all 550 round had 0% malfunctions. Fired through the Walther, my bench rest custom 10/22 and my Taurus mod 94 9 shot revolver all worked. Time to give Federal another look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have has good luck with the Federal 550 packs too. Also the remington HP 550 packs also worked well. Stingers had an FTE once in a while, and CCI minimags I shoot the best with. ***Still waiting on my refund from MR. Blaster, so can't get anything done with the springs locally yet.
