| Walther P-1 Picked one up this morning on a whim, and I really like this handgun. It's in excellent shape and I cannot wait to shoot it next week. Anyone else have one? Any problems? Any gripes?

| I bought one right before Christmas, haven't been out to shoot it but once. I've always wanted P38 & this was a cheap alternative. Had no malfunctions, it shot about 8" low. Gonna try some different ammo before I mess with the front sight. You know they throw the brass out to the left. Let me know how yours shoots. |

| Mine throws the brass straight up, and it really tosses them. They bounce off the ceiling indoors. Excellent shooter. |

| The P-38, in my opinion, is one of the ten greatest pistols of all time. It was considered the first safe combat pistol due to the decocker. The ergonomic grip feels better to me than a Luger. The magazine release system was innovative. It inspired the Ruger Mk1. Mine has proven very accurate. The only issue is the wartime metal finish is not the best. Indy |
