Not to hijack but I also have a question about the model 70. I have a Mauser that I want to scope. Will the safety from a Model 70 fit on my Mauser? I have found a couple companies that make similar safety mechanisms but they want $200-$300. That seems WAY over priced for a small piece of metal.

On the quality of the model 70, I have no first hand experience other than holding one, but it is based on the Mauser action (this is a good thing) and everything I've heard about them has been good.
