Ive got an old (not sure of year) model 94 in .32 special caliber that i disasembled for cleaning/inspection. Now that its back together the trigger doesnt spring forward, and i dont remember if it did before i took it apart, since i havent shot the gun in years. The trigger springs forward until i install the hammer, and then it just flops back and forth. Everything else seems to work fine and i cant see anything wrong with the assembly. Did i lose a spring or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Does everything work? pre 64 Winchester levers had a lot of trigger flop, a lil less when cocked but still floppy. If it won't cock/fire then your spring is installed incorrectly.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it does cock/fire correctly, but i just dont remember it having that much play before i took it apart. I inherited the gun about 8 years ago, and its been about 5 years since i've fired it, so im not real familiar with it. Maybe i just never noticed the play before.

BTW, I found out thru Winchester that the gun was made between 1943 & 1948.
