New rifles offered by Winchester ???

Was looking at Winchester's website and darned if i don't see them listing NEW Super Shadow rifles in the BRAND NEW caliber offerings of 308, 30-06, 243, 270, and 300 Win Mag, the previous models only being available in the short magnums. Seems they got a clue that pushing their short magnums by only chambering guns for those rounds wasn't really a great idea.

But isn't it too late? Aren't they about to close?

The plot thickens. Apparently they're releasing a NEW autoloading rifle called the SXR in 300 Win Mag, 30-06, 300 WSM, and 270 WSM. Looked rather familiar after a brief look.

Winchester SXR:

Browning BAR (long and short trac models):

Does this possibly mean that Winchester's only losing the one factory and that their name will be placed on Browning guns (owned by the same Belgian FN) and possibly even that some Winchester models will continue to be made elsewhere?

All of the press releases I've seen, plus one fellow who talked to a Winchester guy at the Shot Show, say that the one plant, USRA, which manufactures the 94s, 70s, and 1300s, under license to Olin, owners of the Winchester name, located in New Haven, I think, is all that is shutting down, unless a buyer is found. That would leave all options open for guns manufactured by the Belgian company that makes other Winchester guns. That is, to the best of my understanding, the situation.
It is my opinion, however, that someone will buy that plant, and continue to make at least some of the rifles produced there.
I'm glad I got the 94 I wanted, a Trail's End 20" round barrel in .44 Mag, two weeks before the announcement, and a gun that was manufactured last year, before word was out. I would not want to own one produced between the time the word of closing got out, and plant shutdown.
I guess we'll see what happens.
