For what it’s worth I’ve used Prvi Partizan in this round.
It also reloads very well.

I have one box of the Winchester stuff I bought about a year ago. It's in a white box and the cases are labeled Win 7.62X54R on the base. No S&B there at all. Not that that means anything. I've only shot the surplus up until now.

They're marked Win., but they're made by S&B in Czechoslovakia. This is the same practice that Hornady uses in some of its military calibers, most are actually made by Prvi, but they're stamped NNY, not Hornady.

Yep, I dug em' out and looked at them. They are Marked WIN, but also S&B.

about using the winchester rounds, i found that they jam up the gun when loading and unloading them. i bought brown bear ammo, and had no problem with that. and someone was right, idk who when they said the bullets damage the meat, cause they do explode.

I've noticed that some Winchester brass I've reloaded had to go through the sizer die a couple of times before they fit again, but never had the problem with a new box of commercial Winchester.

I use them when I shoot at outdoor/world. (cant use steele) Otherwise I shoot Brown Bear at outdoor ranges. Nothin wrong with them, just expensive.

Winchester 7.62x54R Metric Calibers BRASS 180GR Soft Point

Winchester 7.62x54R Metric Calibers BRASS were the ones i used at the range and experienced a problem..... the bolt wouldn't close down as if the extractor couldn't slide over the cartridge rim without using excessive force..... Didn't do that with most of them but only a few...... Has anyone else experienced this same problem? I'm thinking it has to be the ammo because it doesn't do that with my steel cased ammo...could the mosin's machining be overpowering the brass cartridge?

i have shot both the full metal jacket version and the lead tipped 7.62x54r they are very accurate 1/2'' group of 5 rounds at 100 yards

Prvi Partizan is cheaper, and I like their brass better for reloading.
