Winchester Merge with Browning, some product lines to be discontinued....

Wow, I just found out that Winchester has merged with Browning and models 94-series and 70-series and the model 1300 Speed Pump Shotgun will no longer be in production. They also closed the factory in New Haven, CT.

Here is one location on Winchester's site explaining it:

Winchester Rifles & Shotguns Product Catalog

I hope they don't ruin the "Winchester" name.

I guess this has been a while since it actually took place, but it was news to me. Was it news to you?

I think it went down in March, one month after I bought my M70 Classic Featherweight. Its hard to imagine a legend like Winchester biting the dust.
