Winchester m70 classic compact?

I have heard that the m70 was discontuned but winchester still has it on their web site. The reason I'm asking this is because I was going to get a Classic Compact. Should I get the m70 while I can? Thanks. TTFN.

I am a Model 70 user here in Alaska, you certainly can't go wrong buying one.
My rifle and My hunting buddies model 70's have never failed us in any kind of weather/conditions,or temperatures to -40 and literally put TONS of meat on our tables throughout the years. I own 2 of them....both
in .300 win mag.

From what I've seen and heard you may have to settle for a used M70. I bought one of the last from Cabelas back in Feb.
