Unstamped barrel

Hey all,

Just recieved a Model 70 300 WSM as an xmas gift. However, I've noticed that the barrel is not stamped with the chambering. I'm sure I can verify the chambering by looking up the serial number with Winchester or have a gunsmith verify the caliber. My question is does this make the rifle unique and should I keep it this way, or do I send it back to winchester and get a stamped barrel?
