Winchester 1300 shotgun was offered with either a smoothbore or rifled bore for slugs, deer hunter pack. Does the rifling affect it's pattern so much that you need a smoothbore?

I have a 1200 pump, vent. rib, 28"mod barrel, recoil pad. Bought it new in 1966 with money I made working at a grocery store. $149.95, in the box.

I bought one new as well...maybe 1970, no vent rib, I think about $120. I was so wanting a mod 37 Ithica though, about $30 more...lol

You might try gun broker or auction arms.

Thanks Glock I found them. But for the price of their barrels I should just go find a used 1300 and interchange the barrels. I think I bought my shotgun new for that price. Once again thanks.

Yea, AH actually left the link. I wasn't sure if you saw them/found them or not. And yes they are expensive, and I believe that's what leftyO stated above. If you can find a used and for a reasonable price, then definately. But with a new barrel, you'll know what you'll be getting. To buy a used one sight unseen over the internet, ya' just neva know. Your money, your gun and your call. lol Good luck.

Also, if you're not in a hurry, hit a few gun shows for either the barrel and or a complete new or used or new unused 1300's? Again, either way good luck...
