| There you go dude... Glad to have helped.. I've been putzing around with my buddy's 290 and can't get it to fire or cycle more than 1 round at a time.. But I think I have it worried now.. Gonna try again tomorrow but I'm sure I have it fixed now.

Just joined today 2/24/09.I'm looking for a recoil plate for my # 190, can't seem to find one.. Mine is cracked along the bend, that's causing the spent cartridge from being ejected. It seem to jam sporadicly Any advice? Thanks, Greg. |

Check out Gunbroker also for Winchester 190 manuals and they have parts and guns for sale also. I bought a brand new one in 1972 for $38.50 from Yankee store, kind of like KMart. Still have it and use it, never a problem. Growing up I read alot about Winchester rifles and this was my first gun I ever bought. I must be getting old.

Nice to know there are other WNYer's on here. I'm brand new to the forum. I'm also new to rifles. Got my first - a Winchester 190 - as a gift. I'm hoping to get the Manual to it. I asked bigbadf250sd to email it to me. | |
