Climbin Lyman

Does anyone have an old winchester lever gun with a lyman receiver sight? I believe there were 2 "climbin lymans". One was the model 21 I think. Not sure of the model number on the other.

Lyman produced two of these type sights. The Model 21 which was adjustable for elevation only and the Model 38 which was adjustable for elevation and windage.Production of these ended in 1943.They were made for Winchester Models 1886,1892,1894,1895 and Marlin Models 1893 and 1895.I believe there is a reproduction Model 38 sight currently available.

Thanks Swede. I'm not going to drill a good receiver but if I end up with one that's already been drilled, it'll get one of these repros! Should've figured with the cowboy action shooting somebody would start making em again.

The Williams I had on a M94 just replaced 2 pins. No drilling, etc.

If you don't mind Swede, what model is the Williams on your gun?

Swede. Was the receiver mounted sight you had on that M94 a side mount or top mount?
