How do you guys carry your model 94's when hunting, with chamber empty? I see is recommended. Also when shooting at the range do you load more than one cartradge in the magazine at a time? Off to range tomorrow we'll see how it goes. Woody

when hunting I have a round in the chamber but the rifle is not cocked. At the range I fill the mag.

| A million years ago,
when I had one I carried it for hunting with a round in the chamber and hammer down. At the range it was loading with the number of shells for which I wished to have as a group. |

For deer hunting I put about 3 in the tube and 1 in the chamber, with the hammer pulled back to the first "safety" notch. When shooting targets...it depends, if I am siting it in, I usually put 1 at a time in the chamber, If I am plinking, I fill it up.
