How's your dove season going?
How're you guys doing this season? I just got back from the farm, shot 7 but only found 5 of them.
, that makes an even dozen in three outings but they are just now starting to fly pretty well. I may go out again tomorrow if the weather holds.![]()

Man, today was a bummer! I was shooting like I had Parkinsons and the DT's at the same time, only shot one bird and lost it, but I did find what was left of one that I shot yesterday. I finally gave up and pulled out the PA-63 and 24-47 Mauser for a little target practice.

Between my son and I we got 8 on the first day, lost 2. Went back out yesterday and got 3. Which is not saying much cause they were thick.
Pretty impressed with the boy's shooting skills, starting to out shoot me. But I don't think I'm going to tell him just yet. Anybody have any good dove recipes ?

Maybe they'll come to So. Arkansas LOL !!! Them Doves saw me come'en and high tailed it to Idaho and got Cold and left and went some where else !!!
When I said they saw me come'en I didn't mean for that to mean I was a good shot ! I meant it to say the Doves didn't want to laugh them selves to death. |

pball, I slice a jalapeno in 1\2 lengthwise, scoop out the "guts", stuff the halves with cream cheese, stick one inside a breast, wrap the whole thing in bacon, then stick 'em on the grill, if you don't like the heat from the jalapeno, soak the peppers in milk for an hour or so before stuffing them.

Thanks Toolman, I will add that to the list. Been wondering what to do with all the pepers from my garden this year. After I posted lastnight I saw Ezearln had some recipes posted in another forum.
By they way I found all the Dove. They came to Kansas. Now if I could just hit'em.

I went out today with my stepson and husband-in-law (wifes' ex). We got there late but the birds were flying really well. As usual, I was shooting like a blind man and only got four (lost one), stepson got six, and H-I-L got twelve, overall not bad but would've been much better had I been shooting well. I'm shooting my Father-In-Laws' Rem. 1100 and it doesn't fit me well at all so I seem to be shooting well over and behind the birds. I found a Mossy 500 at the pawn shop that feels much better, we'll see.

That's a great recipe and can be varied a bit using different ingredients mixed into the cream cheese. I like using diced green onions, crispy bacon, broccoli, or just about anything else you can think of.
