Dove shooting tips.

This year marks a return to the shotgun hunting world after a 22 yr hiatus. Needless to say, I'm a tad rusty and caught myself stopping the gun for shots a couple of days ago. This made me start thinking about how we were all taught to shoot at fast-moving birds (I taught myself through trial-and-error). My goal with this post is to hopefully, remedy my current shots-to-birds ratio. I limited out a couple of days ago but blew three boxes off Win. AA Super Sport ammo @ $6\box in the process. Today started well, around 30% shot\kill ratio until the first box ran out, then it went south, ended up w\13 birds out of 75 rds of ammo. My biggest concerns are the crossing shots, unless they are within 15-20 yds, it's a wasted shot. Any help?

FWIW, I messed up on the rd. count, it was four boxes so 100 rds. I tried to correct it with no luck.

Go shoot some sporting clays before the season starts. It is a lot of fun - kinda like golf with a shotgun. It will truly improve your game.
