Well I am definitely female! Also a newbie on this thread. I am Guns&Dobes daughter. I don't have any Dobes but since I am going to get me a gun I don't think I need one. What do you think? Mom- I thought I was going to be your shooting partner? HA! |

Welcome! A gun and a dog are always the best forms of home defense. Actually... I conceal carry when walking the dog to protect the dog. LOL!

Have two pistols already, Taurus 9mm, and a beretta .32 Taking the CWP class in Feb, and looking forward to meeting new people and making many more new friends!! |

Howdy Ladies! I'm brand new around here, and also to shooting. I just got a Remington 597 for Christmas, and I love it!! It has a pink and grey composite stock and on the side says "Shoot like a girl...if you can!" I'm hoping to get a handgun soon, most likely a SW9, unless I hear about something I may like better. Glad to have found a women's forum! |

| I really love it!!! I fits great in my hands, not much recoil, and is really fun to shoot. I have night sights on it, and they are great too! Not that I shoot in the dark, but they make aiming much easier! |

Welcome SCGirl. The estrogen level just spiked again around here. I've got my eye on a Glock 19 at the moment. I'm busily trying to talk my friend/ye old local gun shop dealer into a better price on it. She's usually pretty reasonable sort about such things. ( A lady gun shop owner!! ) Hopefully she will cut me a good deal as we fund her business regularly. How are the hand grips on the Beretta? I have trouble with limp wristing some of the wider double stacked magazine weapons.

Oh, we have a few guns shops around me owned by women. It is very encouraging. I was considering that little Beretta myself, just as something to drop in a pocket when I get lazy. But I haven't heard too many good things about it. Any feeding issues?

BTW wish I could get my avatar to load in full motion. I'm shooting a 2 liter pop bottle filled with water and then compressed air with my scoped Savage.22. The response was pretty awesome.

I have not had any, and neither has my husband (who owns his own). Honestly I have only fired mine once, but I ran about 100 rounds through it with no trouble at all As for the grips, they are awsome, it fits my hand perfectly! | |
