tlarkin that shotgun you have pictured should be named the Love Maker because it is very capabile of mortal Harm ! Meaning it could change bad attitudes into good attitudes.
Cupid the feller with the bow and arrow oughta get him one too.
I wouldn't mind have'in one to carry around in my truck. LOL

Well, it is actually the shotgun I want to buy, but I think I am going to pass on the pink with the kissy lips. Though, just the thought of a man using it and acting tough makes me laugh!

Now if I had a daughter, I wouldn't mind buying something like this to start out on.

Let's share our opinions! Thanks
I think there are no safety issues involving colored guns. After all, when I was growing up, toy guns all looked realistic, and that was no big deal.

If it gets more people into the shooting sports then it would be good but not for me.

While not a woman, I am married to one. While shopping for a new pistol a month ago, I showed my wife some of the pink firearms and she wasn't impressed. She said she saw no need for a gun to look like anything other than a gun. On the flip side, I wouldn't buy a camo pistol.

While she might not like them, I also don't see anything wrong with them (other than perhaps making them look more like a toy to children). Whatever gets more people into the gun community, I'm all for. If it takes a purple pistol with Hello Kitty grips that's been gone over with a Bedazzler to do it, then it's only a good thing.

I have a feeling though that more often than not, it will be an excuse for a man to bring home an unwanted gift home to the wife. "Hey honey, look what I picked up for you today!" I'd be interested to see how many women actually purchase them for themselves.

Billy, well...thank you for the nice compliment. See I am a woman that is easily distracted by bright, shiny, sparkly objects, so I have huge affliction for nickel and stainless and have all my SS polished to look like nickel...that is what I think is pretty.

This might have already posted here, but here is a parody site I ran across...

GlamGuns.com! Guns for Girls and Glamorous Weaponry!

I was intrigued by;

"Glambo also includes colorful streamers, glitter, and confetti that can be added to her patented ColorPOW! Chamber to leave a trail of sparkling love with every shot."

Man...can you imagine that!!!

I agree with you guys that this sort of thing (hello kitty on a firearm, etc) should not be illegal. You hit it on the head that we don't need any more gun laws.
However, personally I dont think I would allow that in my home. I DEFINITELY agree that it is a parents responsibility to teach your child about gun safety and what they can and cannot do. But I think anything like that type of decorations just undermines the dangerousness of a firearm. I like the rifle that jmp showed, because its not "cartoonish", but I don't know. I think sometimes people just ask for trouble. In my mind, this promotes a weapon as a toy and shouldn't be allowed for that assumption to be made. But it shouldn't be illegal.
