Wife shot trap with us yesterday

Said she wanted to try it. She shoots mostly pistols with me. I'm not going to discourage by any means.

I grabbed my son's Mossberg 500 Bantam 20 ga for her. Along the way she tried my Sx2. Well, I pretty much lost the Sx2 for the rest of the shoot. She handled the gun well. With the 7/8 oz loads I feed it, it's not pushy at all. She even smoked a few birds.

Man you have no idea what you have done. A friend of mine got his wife a shotgun for Christmas, thnking if she shot too, she would not be complaining he was spending so much time at the range. After the first couple of tries, she started to really like it. She doesn't work so has time on her hands, and she met some other ladies who like to shoot too. Now half of the time when he gets home from work, dinner is in the oven and misses is out shooting with the gals. Thing is he only gets to shoot on the week-ends and with all the practice she has been getting, she shoots the pants off him. He doesn't like shooting as much and complains about HER spending too much time at the range. Sometimes even the best of intentions backfire.......

She can shoot all she wants as long as she budgets in more ammoAs far as taking off to go shooting or anything else for that manner, good on her, plus I know how to cook. LOL

Yeah AH, I'm thinking 930 or Sx3. I need to be carefull though, I'll end up with the Sx2 back. They are pretty much community guns around our home.

Mrs Jerry makes it look easy. I can shoot trap as long as they pause in mid air for about 15 seconds and give me a good chance to draw a bead on them.

Jerry,

Just wait till she REALLY gets bit by the bug...like I did...went thru 4 shotguns to find the one I like. (can be costly)

I became an AVID Sporting Clays, Trap and Skeet shooter. I belong to a local range (for trap) and shoot 5 stand, wobble trap on Sundays at other ranges.

I have no husband to take me shooting so I bug a couple of my male friends/shooting buddies relentlessly about going shooting, and sometimes they just don't want to go...if they don't want to go, I go by myself... I just need to find some women I can go shooting with. Most of the clubs around my area are predominantly male..so I feel like an outcast sometimes. If I had more people to go with, I would probably go more...see...BAD afflication....lol
