I'll jump in here too.
Not much of the masculine stuff bothers me, with so many masculine interests, I feel at home in both groups, but hearing the other ladies perspective would be great.

I have literlly been to devastated to do anything but cry my eyes out day and night. My little Shiba Inu Little Bear was killed Jan 7th. I went out on a date a left the garage door up. He was in the house playing and then my daughter went out and she knew he was in the house so she closed the door. For some ungodly reason I guess my mother thought I could not get back into the house and went through the laundry room and did not see him, then opened the door to the garage and then she opened the garage door and out he went. My daughter found him dead on the 215 and laid down over his body hysterical crushed her hand in her car door and brought him home. He was on my bed dead and I was calling 911 and animal control for over an hour and nobody would help me I was hysterical. I finally took him over to an animal hospital and my daughter would not let them take him out of her arms..it was the most horrible thing that has ever happened besides my owns father passing away. I loved that little dog more than anything on this earth. He slept with me at night and I played with him all day...I am just sick and heartbroken and so is my daughter, I kicked in my bedroom door and blamed my mother she is 78 and half blind, it was a horrible fight and she felt really bad cause she loved him too....I just wanted to die and I have not hardly eaten since he was killed....I just feel like my whole life has been taken from me....I know this is dramatic but I loved that little dog so much.....Lady Di

I know exactly how you feel Lady Di. I lost a puppy recently and it is hard. He was the perfect dog.

Lady Di, I am so sorry for your loss.
I lost the love of my life last June, my 13 year old son Kujo, my first Malamute. He was suffering from arthritis in both hips and when it spread to his spine and the pain controll meds were no longer doing the job I knew it was time to do the right thing for him.
Dogless was not the life for me, so I found a Mal pup available halfway across the state, and "Bronco" is such a great therapy for me.
He will never fill the hole left in my heart from loosing Kujo, but he is a great friend to take away part of the pain.
Think about getting another dog, not one to "replace" Little Bear, but one to honor his memory and give you some theraputic love.
Cyber-hugs from another dog-lover.
