Question Interviewed voter in New Hampshire sez....

"I am going to vote for Obama because I believe America is ready for a black man for president."
I wonder how many folks are going to vote for him for that reason?

I thought Clinton was our first black president.

Seriously though, I doubt as many would vote for him because he's black as would vote against him because he's black.

And I'd like to believe the guy meant, "I like him as a candidate, and I don't think my vote would be wasted because I believe America is ready for a black man for president." Wishful thinking, maybe...

If the man was qualified, and had an agenda to bring our country back from the brink upon which it is teetering, and was a proven leader, I wouldn't care if he was green. But Mr. Obama is a babe in the woods, he lacks the experience it takes to run a country as big, diverse, and complicated as the USA. He's as unqualified as Mrs. Clinton, neither one of them has run a state, let alone a city, and yet they both jump on the stump and rant about all the experience they have. I've yet to see anything they've done that makes them presidential material. Mrs. Clinton couldn't even run her marriage successfully, how does she expect to run a country? Scotty

He has more experience campaigning for election than anything else. I can get up there and say all the things he says too, does that make me just as qualified?

You're as qualified as he is! Go ahead and run, and I'll have someone I can trust to vote for! Scotty Hey, you'll leave Christmas alone, won't you?

Christmas can stay, but I will have to make every Thursday discount stripper night. Also, Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid will be exiled. Hopefully they will let the whole age thing slide, I'm only 20.

I know only one canidate that is everything we could hope for and that's
Mike Huckabee.
I've been at this Fourm for a year and have read a lot of ranting about the Constitution and Rights to tax's, Imigration, Illegals.

Here's your chance to get our Federal Goverment back in order. Vote for Huckabee.

You got my vote!!!!! Them folks need to be taken care of too! And I ain't talking about Reid and Kennedy. Please exile them to someplace cold and lonely, like the south pole. On second thought, NOT the south pole, they would drive the Seabees crazy during the winterover cycle. Maybe the Russian Steppes, nobody caan understand them over there! Scotty

Hey, AH, bring that possum pie over, it'll go good with the delicacies my wife cooks up on the hearth!

C'mon, at least get your facts straight!

Shaun, while I have no use for Barack Obama as a candidate because I don't feel he is yet experienced enough to be President, I must rise to object to the man being classified as a Muslim educated in madrassahs.

The man is a deacon at his church in his home district out in Ohio, for pity's sake! I think he was raised and professes to be a Methodist of some kind. That's a whole lotta light-years from being a Slave of God submissive to the Will of Allah. He is not and never has been a Muslim.

And opening up a can of worms here, I will note I've read the Koran in translation. As religious books go, in terms of offering guidance on living an honest an moral life it's on a par with the Bible, Buddhist books I have read, and the Guru Granth Sahib of the Sikhs. Were the Prophet to return today, I think he would be appalled at the perversion of his vision by the Islamists who are the wellspring of the terror from abroad Western Civilization faces today.

At the end of the day, candidates are elected on their ability to campaign, not run a country. Oh, also important is who is funding your campaign.
Have fun with your election!

simply put he's a democrat and that means he is unfit for the role as president.

Sometimes I wish they would throw this political party sh-- out the window and everyone just run with out political party affiliations. I think it would be a much different world when they are all judged on the strength of their own character and visions rather than the party platforms. I hate seeing the country held hostage by polarized party politics.

The worst is when some of your personal beliefs jive with one party, and some with the other. You are forced to prioritize your beliefs when you vote. Rather than representing the party it would be nice if candidates actually represented the people. There's been vague grumblings that way up North here.

Obama's dad was a non-practicing Muslim, but Obama only met him once after the age of two, in Hawaii when he was eleven; he was raised by his mother.

The "madrasa" bull is a perversion of the fact that he attended a school in Indonesia that had mostly Muslim students, but wasn't a religious school. He also attended a Catholic school for a couple of years over there.

People aren't taking any chances on the "Radical Muslim" smear not working; now there's another one going around that the Christian church he belongs to preaches racism and commitment to Africa instead of America. They intend to make sure he gets nailed both coming and going, I guess.

I just wish that these so called democratic candidates would go by their real name (Socialists) and leave the democratic party alone. The democratic party was once a good party but since it has been hijacked by the bleeding heart liberal anti -American types it has gone down hill. Ofcourse the Republican party is doing no better in my opinnion. I would like to see the entire Govnernment fired and new officals elected that actually represent the people who appointed them. I am tired of having my rights taken away and being told it's for my own safety. I'm tired of seeing my hard earned money being wasted on helping make other nations into super powers. I am just sick and tired of the whole lot of them. In my opinnion there isn't a single candidate that hasn't sold their soul to some special interest group or corporation so they can have the finaceacial backing to become president.
Ofcourse that's just my opinnion.

Scott

Another point is that he refers to himself as an African -American and having that designation make him a non-citizen of this country. Only Americans can run for the position of President not naturalized citized.

Please vote for Huckabee. Though we have a year to vote a lot can happen and another canidate can move to the forefront.
This man is not like any of the other canidates, he has the intentions of makeing things right.
He knows whats going on in our lives. But I will repeat what I said at another Thread. He's to good for his on good and would step on to many toes for the good of the people (us) He ain't a crook and right now he's not in anyones pocket.
He's the only canidate thats one of us...A.H
