Yeah, when you're living on your roof because your town is flooded with water you're stupid for not swimming for 30 miles with your children in bacteria and blood filled water that is ripe with disease, so you can maybe get lucky and find help. All your possessions are destroyed, you have nothing to eat so what can you do? Build a raft out of roofing tiles? good luck.

I get mad about talking to people in India for tech support too, but I don't get mad at the person I'm talking to. You should the blame the corporation who greedily outsources all of their jobs so they can pay foreign workers 8 cents an hour to do a job that would pay $8 an hr in America, just so they can make another billion per year. Blame the employer, not the employee. The foreign workers just need a job to survive.

Well since they plan to phase us out, for cheaper illiterate labor, could they put me on a reservation somewhere where I can hunt and fish all day, take herbs to stay well, get thunder visions, ride a horse and have a good looking woman look after me. I'm part American Indian.

That crap about Hurricane Katrina totally ignores the fact that the majority of victims were elderly and in poor health. To insinuate they died because they were stupid and lazy raises my blood pressure just a little...

So what does the fact that many had the opportunity to leave but didn't, do to it? How about Nagen ignoring the warnings to evacuate and then being re-elected? I've got a couple of friends who lost family members to Katrina who swear that they were told by local police that there was nothing to worry about, "it's just another hurricane" who want Nagen dead!

I don't know anything about either of those items. But I do know this, as well as the fact that the majority of deaths occurred among old people in poor health: compared to the percentage of the population they were, whites in New Orleans died at a higher rate than the blacks did. So maybe it's time for racists on both sides to stop milking Hurricane Katrina.

The black racists can stop whining about blacks being left to die, and the white racists can stop feeling smugly superior, because the whites did worse, not better, as a group.
