Groupon Anti-Gun?

Groupon has gained worldwide attention for being able to offer local deals for about 50% of the normal price.  This seems like a great opportunity for a local business to make some quick cash, but there have been many reporting that it has caused the businesses to actually lose money to the “Groupon Affect”.  Some even claim it being the reason for the business had to close its doors. Although that alone should cause concern when supporting such a site, here comes the next strike against them.  They are simply anti-firearm.  They refuse to do any business with the National Rifle Association, or any firearm business.  You could suppose this is to not cause any ruffling of feathers, but I believe it has causing a ground movement to be against Groupon.

Here are a few alternatives to Pro-Firearm deal sites that stand behind the 2nd Amendment, and more importantly morals while doing business.

GearHog – They offer a daily deal usually at 50% of the normal cost, and every Sunday has a giveaway that is free to enter.  Highly recommended.

SlickGuns – A culmination of the entire great firearm deals on the Internet.  If you are looking for a firearm, I suggest searching here first.

http://www.ballisticreload.com/ is another site I like to use. The deal of the day changes every day at High Noon mountain time.

I normally look at where an item is from brfore I buy anymore. With more and more companies moving overseas. I buy only American. If I need something that I can’t find that I need and is only manufactured overseas I build it myself. The only overseas products that I buy are German, British, Italian, and some Japanese. Those companies generally manufacture high quality stuff. Now this Groupon I’m not famillair with. But if there having sales like your talking about the are probably ordering Chinese. I always look at the Manufactuer and I also know how to read bar codes for source country.

Groupon, rhymes with coupon, offers coupons for discounts from local businesses which they send to your email. They don’t sell anything,

Only a moron comments on something they know nothing about.

@Shane Yeppers, one of my local ranges uses Groupon. The deal IIRC was for a lane rental and 100 rds of .22 cal ammo and some other stuff. Something north of 800 people had jumped on this deal.

I just cancelled my subscriptions to Groupon and sent them the following email:

It’s been a pleasure looking at the Groupon offers, and taking advantage of some.

We live in contentious times. It’s unfortunate that your CEO chose to inject himself in the current gun control debate. He’s entitled to his position based on nothing more than juvenile emotion, and I’m entitled to my position backed by a study of history. As a result of his announcement that Groupon will no longer honor it’s commitments with regard to gun safety classes, I will no longer follow Groupon nor make any purchases through the site.
