I've got the Stoeger semi auto shotgun, it goes well and is good to shoot.

    Cheers

I think I got a brief look at one and it was pretty intriguing.

Looked at it a little more and it looks for the world like a Benelli Nova. Perhaps a metal receiver though? Couldn't tell for sure.

Hey wirehunt, how similar is your Stoeger to a Benelli auto?

Hey, I am looking into a new shotgun as well... so far I am deciding a remington 870 express, benelli nova, and stoeger over/under (I ruled out the mossy)... I haven't heard much either, except that its well- built for the money, comparable to the other two im looking at, and worth the price.. havent shot one yet to tell you, though... good luck

Rem 870 is probably the most versatile among all of them. Most variety of barrels made, and probably most heavy duty. Can be set up any way you like.

Sort of apples to oranges with the O/U, I prefer pumps myself though I wouldn't mind an O/U.

Stoeger P350 I checked out did in fact have a metal receiver and in every other way look for the world like a Benelli Nova. Suppose barrels are interchangeable?

Isn't a stoeger a licensed copy of benelli but cheaper and instead of an aluminum reciever it has a steel one?

The Benelli Nova has a polymer receiver integrated to the buttstock. The Stoeger has a metal one, not sure if it is steel or aluminum.

    Stoeger

I just purchased a stoeger p350 for 70.00 less then a beneli nova, Beneli makes the stoeger and are the same gun except the nova is a 1 piece and the p350 is 2 piece.
