Sen. Verna Jones-Rodwell, a Baltimore Democrat, said she is supportive of “anything that would eliminate the transport of contraband … into the prisons.”

“We have to make sure appropriate training takes place and we are paying our corrections officers to make sure they are not engaging in negative behavior so they don’t feel they need to take risk to help them out financially,” she said.

This is obviously the answer. Bribe the "corrections officers" to do their jobs instead of expecting them to do the job for the pay they agreed to. Brilliant! This should solve everything.

The article pretty much laid it out step by step aside from the intimate details. :sombrero:

Don't set numbers. Only 4 are reported.

Think this is an isolated case?
Uh-huh. Just continue being naive Charlie Brown and one day Lucy might not jerk that football away.

But, but! They only did it because they didn't get paid enough not to take a bribe from a drug kingpin!

Drug dealers and organized crime in general, have been running their operations out of our prisons since the days of prohibition. Why not? The leaders are safer there than they would be on the streets and directly connecting them to anything on the outside is almost impossible. The bleeding hearts have insured that for the major players it's almost all the comforts of home and business as usual.

Using female guards in a prison full of male cons is stupidity in itself! :boggled:

yep, but "gender bias", and/or discrimination based on gender, has made some occupations quite risky, and often less effective.

anykey: Sir, stuff like this makes me furious. Laws violated from the inside, should have meetings with a backhoe near-by.

Our jails are as secure as our borders... Seems only natural when politicians and our justice system are involved

Race comes before right and wrong in this situation. They saw a chance for a profit and took it. They should be jailed as well. This is disgusting.

While having an argument with a friend of mine on Facebook, he asked me to show him numbers proving that gun friendly cities have lower crime rates than non-friendly ones. I used Houston (population2145146) and Baltimore (Population 619,493) as an example. Baltimore had more than twice the ACTUAL number of violent crimes. Not PER CAPITA, ACTUAL.
