Heavy duty man. Just don't lose the key. What do you do if the house goes up in flames?

since there is NO such thing as a fire proof safe im not going to worry about it.
from what i gather drywall type material is used to make a safe fire retardent , which holds moisture and that is what slows down the heat build up in a safe.
but that moisture aint so good for guns.so people put those goldenrods and other heater type things like lightbulbs in em.
but that defeats the fire retardation.
    round and round we go!

    picky picky picky.
    ok here it is.
it's pertinent because not everyone has bigbucks for a safe but everyone should at least make it hard for a thief.

You could always line the inside with purple drywall it is used as a fire retardent for elevator shafts and HVAC chase ducts. 1.25" thick fairley heavy stuff. You would loose 2.5" side to side all the way around for inside dimensions, and then put a couple of tubs of dry rid in for moisture. Probably more trouble than its worth. Just a brain fart for the chewing.

I like it, but I think my wife would have made me paint it - no mater where it was going. Those nice Enfields in your box have made me want an enfield again - dang it!

If it took 3 guys to carry it in empty, I hate to ask how you drag it out from under the bed, and shove it back again, fully loaded. Or do you just move the bed?
