Marlin Model 30AW 30/30......

    What can ya tell me about this model? All I can find so far is its a cheap version of the 336. It shoots great with 170 grain Core-Lokts. Look out does this fall........:bigeyes::bigeyes:

    Plain or fancy, ya can't beat the Marlin 30-30! Please forgive me Mr. Winchester, your rifle will always have a special place in my heart, but I like the Marlin levers better!

    If you take the first two numbers of the serial number and subtract it from 100 you will find what year it was made. ie: 21 as the first two numbers means it is a 79 manufacture.

    I have a 30aw and a 336cs, they both do the same thing, just cheaper wood on the 30aw.
