model 37 16 gauge Ithaca featherlight deerslayer

    I have owned this gun for 20 years, and received it for my 16th birthday, It is the only gun i take to the deer hunting forest,It is a featherlight with a seriel number which puts it manufacture date to 1970...does anyone know or how do i find out how many 16 guage ithaca produced that year,,,,total number of model 37s is roughly 59,000 total,with im guessing the majority of those being the 12 gauge,and 20 , I was told by my Dad it was a bit of a rare gun with low numbers that year being built, I was wondering how rare.How do i get this number anyone know???. Oh and by the way. I Shoot deer with it every year , awesome gun .No i wont sell it if anyone was wondering it is going to be a family heirloom, passed to my son when he is 16. just like to have a bit more history with the numbers to tell him.and value? Priceless to me just curious what the rest of the world thinks its worth.
