I suppose this would be the right place to post this, but are there any modern rifles that are chambered for the 7.62x54r round?

Does the Dragunov or its cousin the PSL count?

I should have posted besides the Dragunov and it's cousins. But are those the only ones?

Closest to a modern rifle would probably be a PKM in semi auto, but that would set you back quite a few thousand.
Other than that, It looks like your SOL

I'm surprised that I've never seen an Encore or Contender barrel chambered for it. Maybe H&R should give it a try.

As long as you were willing to use .308" bullets, the Baikal single shot (Remington Spartan) in .308 should be easy to rechamber to 7.62x54R. It does have a factory barrel option in 9.3x54R.

Turn around, I might be there
Fox Ridge would probably chamber one of the Encore barrels in 7.62X54R.

    If H&R made a handi-rifle in 7.62x54r I would probably buy one.

44.9 Grains to 48.0 grains of IMR 4320
46.5 seems to be the most accurate in Mine..

Yes...and remember that your results may Vary so YOU should start at the low end and work up an accurate Load, since your Brass and Primers may be different from Mine.
You can start with ~42.0 grains for a light load...watch for pressure signs as you approach 48 grains...
