I picked up a Taurus catalogue and they have three .22 rifles that caught my eye.

At first I was looking at the model 63 Autoloader in stainless steel because it is a copy of the Winchester 63 and an autoloader is probably the most convenient type of rifle to shoot targets. You can keep your eye on the target without bothering to manually reload.

But, on the other hand, I also like the traditional .22 Pump and Lever rifles.

The Taurus model 62 pump looks like my Rossi pump as they are both copies of the famous Winchester model 62.
Love to have the stainless version.

The Taurus Model 62 lever is a gun Winchester could have made. The lines are simply beautiful. Now I'm torn between the practicality of the 63 autoloader and the gorgeous 62 lever.

Does anyone have the Taurus model 62 lever .22?

The lever action has the Winchester look. Will someone give us some accuracy info. and handling characteristics?

okami, do you have pump or lever model 62's?

I know the pump works but I'm wondering about the lever.

They sure are pretty. My Rossi 62 pump is an absolute delight to carry so the Taurus should be the same.
