I was looking at different surplus guns and found that the 7.62X25 ammo for these is extremely cheap. I am thinking about getting one because they are so cheap to shoot. but Southern Ohio Gun doesnt list their prices so i dont know how much they run. Gunbroker had a few listed for just under 300. are they a decent gun? somewhat accurate? and if someone has an account with SOG would you mind checking the price for me? PM if you'd like. Thanks.

Let me know if i would be better off posting this in one of the military arms forums.

I was also considering the CZ-82 in 9x18 Makerov and CZ-83 in .380. Would one of these be a better pistol just for plinking and target practice.

The latest Southern Ohio Gun catalog is selling Romanian Tokarevs in 7.62x25 with original holster, two magazines and a cleaning rod for $220. Additional magazines can be bought from them for $8 apiece.

SOG also has CZ-52s in 7.62x25 rated VG to Excellent for $120 apiece. Shoots the same cartridge and the pistol looks rather more ergonomic to me.

They also have CZ-82s in 9x18 Makarov with holster, 2 mags and cleaning rod for $250 each. No word on additional magazines.

They also have 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo, Romanian 1986 prosuction, for $130 for 1,224 round cases.

Hope this information is useful to you.

mat760: I have the Tokarev and the CZ 52. Both shoot the 7.62 Tok. and both are excellent shooters. Interestingly, the Tokarev ejects the shell case a distance of some 25 feet. The 7.62 X 25 is a powerfull round. I have 5 CZ models and all are good - 4 came from SOG. Dan

    screw southern ohio gun

they use to be a cool and awesome website, till they became jerk-whole whole salers

now only FFL and C&R holders can view it after you let them see

    deal with j&G sales

and honestly if you have an ffl or c and r just go to century international arms directly

i do not have an ffl. and i dont recall seeing a 7.62x25 pistol on J&G. there were some others that i would consider but the 7.62 seems to be cheaper than the other calibers. i havnt checked Century.

i wanna get some of these surplus guns now before the supply dries up. it will dry up eventually...or become unavailable due to the possibility of gun laws changing after the election
