A friend of mine has an older Marlin Model 80 (Ranger 103-2) bolt action .22lr rifle. We just cleaned it up and now we're looking for a magazine for it. We searched for a replacement magazine at Brownells and the service tech told us it is item #550-704-046, which they are presently out of stock,...

...and, I'm wondering if there's any one out there in G&G Forums' .22/rimfire world that knows where a magazine for this rifle could be located at?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer...

    Try contacting Marlin directly.

    For parts and service:
    1-800-544-8892

Their online store used to offer magazines and other firearm related items - now it's clothing, bags and other non-shooting frufru.
They carried both the current magazines and the older style.

If they can't help, try Numrich (e-gunparts.com). They have carried them in the past too.

^ Thanks for the suggested source for a magazine...

...and, hopefully they'll have info on a magazine for a rifle manufactured in the 40's/50's.

I just bought one about a month ago for my model 80 at a shop about 25 miles from me. The package was dusty and dirty and the old price on it was 10.59 so I just could not pass it up. I have found two more at another shop but they are 20 bucks each, still less than most places and that is if they even have them in stock.

It might be a week or two before I get back to that shop or you can PM me and I will give you the name and phone number and you can see if they would ship them too you.
