Imagine you just came into more $$ than you've made the last three years combined.... What gun would be your first purchase? Second? Third??

    I'll start us off:

    1) Springfield M25 Whitefeather .308 w/ Leupold Mark IV tactical & horus vision H25 recticle

    2) Armalite AR-180 (original! no bravo junk)

    3) Browning 22-250 A-bolt M-1000 w/Leupold 12-40x60 Long Range Target scope

    4) Barrett REC7 6.8 SPC w/ Yukon TACTICA Gen.2+ Night Vision

    5) Olympic Arms Magnum 25 wssm AR-15 w/ Aimpoint Micro T1

hey capt't those BAR's are nice. i shot a friend of mines. he said not to hold down the trigger and fire full-auto 'cause it would heat the barrel up to fast. he sold it to a guy back east sight-unseen for 26k.

I'd first get the necessary licenses for full automatic weapons and get an M1928A1 Thompson and about 15 stick magazines for it - though the next thing I'd have to buy is a piece of land to shoot it on, because my gun club does not allow full auto guns on the range.

After that, I'd want one of the new Hi-Point 4595 carbines that are due out late this year. It's the Model 995 9mm carbine scaled up to .45 ACP. Ugly as sin, but reliable as hell.

And then there's a shooter-grade Luger, and a Walther P-38, and an 8-inch S&W Model 49, just to see if I could shoot it, and the S&W Model of 1917 Substitute Standard Revolver in .45 ACP - a real one, not one of the Classics series - and an Egyptian Hakim and a bunch of mags for it, and a whole bunch of Mosins - hell, maybe I should just get an importer's license and have done with it - and I'd want to talk to cetmedog about building me a New York State-legal AK-47 bullpup, and a couple more SKSes, and a Garand, and a bunch of FEG pistols, and a Browning Hi-Power, and an unaltered Springfield, and an unaltered M1917 Enfield, and a Barrett .50 bolt action, and a couple more Ortgies pistols, one in .32 ACP and one in .380 ACP, and a REAL lever action shotgun (not the junky Chinese copies).

Or maybe I'd just walk into the biggest gun show around here and just go on a buying spree. Back when I was in the Merchant Marine, I once walked into a used bookstore, slapped $300 in hundred dollar bills on the counter and told the startled clerk, "I'm going to start carrying books up here. You keep track and let me know when the money runs out." I was in that store for two hours buying books, and I can honestly say I'd be hard put to recall a happier shopping trip in my life.

I'd git me an HK91 to replace the one I sold when my normally sound judgment and thought processes went horribly awry. And why do I need one you might ask...well, to cut down trees of course!
