      Hi Aaron,
Just wanted to let you know that I finally got to shoot my French MAS 36 on 18 April, and found it to be an awesome rifle!I'm greatful for your input, and am happy that I bought it.
I found an original rubber recoil boot for it,and it really completes the gun.
Hope all is well with you,and I here from you soon.
      Regards, Jason Michaels

Oh yea it was west texas, lol I feel like a jackass cause when I was in there I even asked him about were he got Sarge's from, LMAO! Holy crap, that exaplins the look he gave me...where did I think I was? HAHAHA Yeah, he also has, at least on Saturday he did, a NICE Remington he was holding for someone in the safe. I told him if ol boy didnt come pay on it then he should call me, but he didn't so i am guessing the guy finally picked it up after not paying on it for 6 weeks! DANG IT!

hmm... I don't know, do you remember where that was located?
I always go to West Texas Military Surplus. Randy is awesome. His shop actually just says 'gun shop' on it, and last time I was in there he had a Nat'l Ord 03a3

About two weeks ago it rained here in town for all of about 3 hours, nothing hard or steady just light showers. But Before then, the last rain I remember was back in the first week of MARCH!! I swear, my yard is going to blow away!

3 are CMP sorta. One is Danish Shooter. One is Danish Rack Grade less wood (new barrel and Boyd's stock) the last is CMP SA Reciever with parts kit from Paul White and an Ebay semi fuctional barrel and mix-master stock set.
My 1st Garand was the result of a bad deal. Was told it had a 43 National Match Barrel. $425.00 That was a G-D lie. Barrel was crap!!!! SA Commercial reciever with parts and POS barrel. Had to have it rebarreled using new Wilson barrel. At a following gun show, found the a-hole that sold me the rifle and verbally kicked his *** upanddown. Saw him at another gun show and he saw me making a hasty exit-stage left.
Figured I paid $100 too much for rifle.
The 5th is a 50,700 serial # Springfield rearsenaled in 64. A very good shooter.

I got the Springfield right after Christmas, and the H & R just 3-4 weeks ago. The Springfield came with brand new wood, and the HR's wood was very nice, and original for a 1955 rifle. I don't think either is an import, but I don't know. As long as they're not import marked from a Century or some other importer, I'm happy!! Remember that both Garands were Service Grade, so they were $595 each. I think they're normally much better condition than the Rackers or Field Grades. I'm headed out tomorrow to shoot the HR and the 03A3.. Looking forward to seeing how they shoot.

I am a bit new to the milsurp collector world, but I love to learn anything and everything about the subject. My interest in old military rifles began in January, and as of March I already own 7.

Anything to do with music, learning, old rifles, and Audio Engineering/Producing and Live Sound.
