Like I said, I wasn't trying to be an *** about it. The Leapers mounts in Mike's thread work. You say they won't. All I can say is mine does. They cost like 15-20 bucks, you can't really go wrong for that kind of money. If it doesn't work for you try something else and let us know.

You're sure welcome, I was wondering if you had checked out a mount that our own member jmeck has developed I've read only good reports on it. It is MUCH
easier to install and you can return your rifle back to it's original configuration.
I'm sure it's also much cheaper. I assume by your avatar that you were or are in
the U.S. Military if so my sincere Thank You Sir!

Hello Lcpl Martin i chose the Rock Solid Industries mount and weld on bent bolt,
      low 1" scope rings and BSA Mil-Dot 3-9 x 40mm scope . www.rocksolidind.com
tools:drill press, 1 top quality small drill bit for pilot hole, 1 top quality #21 drill bit
      1 10-32NF tap, tap handle, center punch, hammer,drill press,cutting oil,air nozzle
torpedo level, air rotary cut off wheel, wire welder, assorted files, and rubber bands, i chose not to bed the mount to the receiver but if you do they recommend
Brownell's Steel Bed Compound, this mount is top quality but does require time and care. Also keep in mind that the new bolt handle requires a notch in your wood so this mount is very invasive to the originality of the rifle. Good luck.
      P.S.
That is a very nice lot of guns and gear you have.
