With 12 guage these days you are better off just useing 12 guage shot sabbots, As far as wads go, I just use the homemade wads when I am loading my steel 12ga. cases becouse I need to seal the opening. Usually I use either cardboard or a 1/8" or less in thickness fiber wad cut to the same size as the case opening itself.
