Yeah practically Highway robbery. Pisses me off something fierce. Its probably because there isn't a whole lot of people that apply for it so they have to justify a teensy bit of paperwork with $80... It ought to be $25.

What was the wait time? Today I'm going to put in for mine granted I can find my Hunter's Saftey Card as it counts as a firearms training course. Hopefully it will go through fast as then I won't have to worry about getting a drop-leg holster for when im carrying my 1911 while im hunting up in the mountains.

wish I lived a little closer biscuit, I would swing by... its hard to trouble shoot over the computer! At this point I bet your ready to trade it in on one of them little armored car dealies you posted about the other day! Been there done that, you will get it. Try pulling it out and putting it back in... I know its a pain, but something isnt meshing up and you dont want drive it not being right. Its frustrating, but its one more skill you will have under your belt when done.
      I'm pullin for ya buddy

If you got a whole new axle it shouldve come with brand new cv joints. That click is not good, cause clicks lead to pops and then you are right back where you started.... nothing is hitting the dust shield on the brakes is it? That can make a noise too. You may have gotten a defective one right out of the box as well. You should not hear much noise at all out of new joints.

Does it click when you turn the wheels? Or just spinning makes it click?

I got the new axle and CV joints on the right rear of my Kawasaki 650i 4X4 wheeler. Got a new starter wiring harnes put on my Yamaha 660 Raptor too... had FUN yesterday! pushin water with the headlights on both. Was jumping the Raptor into a deep standing patch of water... it was like a water adventure ride LOL,,, freakin soaked and muddy even with the rain gear on.

If you ever find yourself in central IL, come on by and we'll get muddy. Think this weekend I will take the wife mudding. I got a Geo Tracker that I gutted and its a little play mobile too, we had it out in the side yard, thought I was going to have to use the bobcat to pull it out, but she skated on through!

Good luck on that CV. If you only changed one of the joints, the other may be the culprit for the click. Your struts may be bad aswell and putting excessive force on the joints aswell?

Biscuit, got your message about the wheel not turning.... Was your wheel bearing nut overtightened?,,, When tightening them down, I keep turning the rotor by putting a screw driver through the lug bolts and spinning it as I tighten down the nut. It needs to be tight, but should allow some movement so the bearings can turn. Hope you get it all straightened out. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I will help all I can! My new inner CV joint should be here UPS today for the big 4wheeler! Good thing as with all this rain my property looks like a fun playground!

      good luck

hey stalebiscuit, I'm the guy who corrected you on the Vermont concealed carry laws. Well, as it turns out, I was wrong. Was reading some stuff earlier and found out VT is actually one of the better more CCW friendly states out there. Anyway, I stand corrected. Just thought I'd let you know.
