Oh Boy I'm lagging. I've enjoyed this too. I hear ya about getting your tailwheel. Not alot of places willing to take on the liability I guess.
That's cool you announced shows. Do you know Gordon Bowman Jones? He's a cool guy.
As far as those engine failures go I was lucky. One was during the takeoff roll. I had about 70 KIAS so it was an interesting ride. The other was on 1/2 mile final. My first failure (I've had three) was in a Pitts during crossover spin practice. It started right back up but that was after a few expletives. Well I'll talk to ya later. Take care.

I don't care if you haven't flown in ten years. Once a pilot always a pilot. I'm sorry about your Wife. She's too young to have heart trouble.
As for me I'm a Comm.,Multi.,Inst. w/ Tailwheel endorsement. I used to fly Grand Canyon tours but quit after my 2nd engine failure. Before that I was a banner tow pilot out of Long Beach,CA.
I also dispatched for a flight school in CA. that specialized in tailwheel and aerobatics.
In addition to flying your typical Cessnas and Pipers I have time in a J-3, Aeronca Champ, Citabria, Super Decathlon, Pitts Special, and an SNJ-5.
Oh and I also spent four summers loading cropdusters in N. Nevada.
I hope the glider deal works out for you. I got to fly one once and what a thrill. Talk about energy management. Well I've rambled enough. I talk to ya later and I'll see you on the forum.

Cool, Tankers always interested me too. Are you a pilot?

Tigercat, I'm wondering if your screen name is in reference to the Grumman F7F? I see one of your interests is flying.
